TECHNICAL GUIDE / 2026-10-02
Short answer. For resin bonded wheels, start with the CHAOYAN F grit series and specify the wheel, work material, current grain, target performance and test plan. Confirm chemistry and grading in the purchase documents.
Define the resin wheel application
The approved CHAOYAN catalog maps F grit to resin grinding wheels and cutting discs. That product mapping identifies the material family; it does not guarantee the behavior of a particular wheel formulation. The buyer should describe the bond system, wheel geometry, intended cut or grind and working material.
State the current F grade, particle size distribution and chemical limits if an existing grain is being replaced. If the current specification is unavailable, a representative sample and measured acceptance criteria can start the comparison.
| RFQ detail | Example | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Wheel type | Grinding or cutting | Application fit |
| Current grain | F model and supplier sheet | Baseline |
| Trial | Process and acceptance measure | Comparable result |
| Supply | Quantity and packing | Commercial quote |
Validate grain and finished wheel separately
First compare the supplied grain with the agreed technical sheet: model, chemistry, magnetic content where applicable and particle distribution. Then make wheels under documented conditions. A grain may meet its material specification while a wheel still needs a formulation or process adjustment.
For an alternative F model or shape option, request a separate sample and preserve the original trial record. This avoids attributing a bond change or pressing change to the grain alone.
Selection guidance
Use the resin wheel product page to reach the relevant F grit range. Attach the current wheel specification, target grain model, sample quantity and purchase volume to the inquiry.
Common mistakes
- Using only wheel performance language without a grain acceptance sheet.
- Treating a product PDS range as a guaranteed order value.
Frequently asked questions
Does CHAOYAN list a resin wheel application product?
Yes. The CHAOYAN product catalog has a distinct resin wheel use case record linked to its F grit family.
Should wheel performance be written into the grain PDS?
The PDS describes material data. Finished wheel performance should be evaluated in a controlled production trial and commercial agreement.
